Just got back from Budapest. Never seen such scenery in my life - the city is so historic, and the architecture is fantastic. The number of castles and ancient buildings within short distance of the city is truly remarkable. I didnt get a chance to see half the things I wanted and couldn't get enough of the food and wine - I am already planning my next trip to Hungary! Hope to meet some nice ladies on my next trip - things are always better shared. Going Back Soon!

Hungarian Language and Music

I want to learn more about the origins of the Hungarian Language, and how it relates to other languages of Eastern Europe! I was listening to some Hungarian songs the other day and the language sounds very rich and appealing! Does anyone know of some good Hungarian artists I can download recordings of? Hungary for Business - and Pleasure!!

Managed to swing a business trip into a nice little vacation! Combined frequent flyer miles, Hotel specuials and vacation days into a sweet six days in historic Budapest. Hope to see the sights, drink the wine and meet some lovely ladies Hungary, here I come!! Anybody know where the best little out of the way joints are ? Hungary here I come!

Getting ready to leave in just two days! All of a sudden it seems real finally - I am actually going to see the land of my ancestors. I'm fourth geneeration American born Hungarian, but my family has always kept a lot of the culture alive in our home. I'm not sure what to see first - we have leads on a few relatives that might still be in the Budapest area, and hopefully we wil be able to connect! Looking forward to the food, too - Mom says that nothing can compare with Hungarian food made in Hungary from real Hungarian ingredients!! Hungary here I come!

My name is James - and I'm a big fan of the other James - James Blunt. My dad is stationed in Europe, so I am making sure that for my birthday he gets me tickets! Can't wait for the concert - does anyone know if he will be signing autographs? I don't really know where I'll be staying, but you'll see me at the concert - I'll be the one right of front screaming my head off! James and James

Summer heat!

I have spent a few days in Budapest. During this period the temperature has reached 37 degree celcius. It was difficult to bear this heat so I escaped to a marvelous bath called Szechenyi furdo. To tell you the truth I have never seen anything like it. There are several open air pools where people sit and relax in the refreshing thermal water. I have seen some people playing chess there which was amazing. Do not miss it if you happen to be in Budapest. Summer heat!

Transylvania and Hungary

Getting ready for my trip to Hungary - Going to spend a week in Budapest and then swing out towards Transylavania to gather more information for my thesis. Would appreciate any info on good museums and exhibits! Can't wait - I've been saving for this trip for four years, and know it's a once in a lifetime thing. Transylvania and Hungary

Vampire Dancing

Anyone know of any good Goth clubs in Hungary? We will be attending the Vampire Ball Musical, and want to go out clubbing afterwards! I and my friends are pretty Goth, and we would like to find others who like the Goth culture to hang with whie we are there.
