It"s the same every morning. I wake up, make myself a cup of coffee, get dressed and walk down the stairs to see what is new in my mail box. I open the box and a pile of leaflets, catalogues and invitations falls out of it. Then I look on the floor and can hardly believe it has all been delivered this morning. Furniture shops, window and door manufacturers, loans, cosmetics sellers, driving instructor courses fortune tellers and pizza restaurants: this is just too much information for me to take in at once. Of course, I"m not really interested in all this stuff so I usually throw it away, but the problem is, it"s sometimes easy to get rid of an important letter or notification. I have actually overlooked a letter from my bank once. This caused me some serious problems later. Today I decided to look through the mail carefully and then get rid of the waste paper. I finally found a postcard from a friend who"s on holiday in Canada. I threw away some catalogues and a couple of leaflets I did not need. I kept the information on driving instructor courses, my brother might be interested in it. Well, tomorrow it"s Saturday so I won"t waste time on mail sorting. At least I hope that people who deliver this stuff are also given a day off tomorrow.
